Content Creation Contest for Social Media on Health Benefits of Fruits and Vegetables

A Pan-India contest was organized on creating scientific and research-based posts on health and nutritional benefits of fruits and vegetables which would be posted on NSI Mumbai Chapter Social Media pages. The competition was organized to celebrate National Nutrition Month/ Poshan Maah 2021. The topic of health benefits of fruits and vegetables was selected as 2021 was declared as International Year of Fruits and Vegetables by United Nations and our chapter made efforts to celebrate the same throughout the year.   Around 90 entries were received Pan-India from various NSI members as well nutrition students.   Initially 10 posts each were sent to 9 different judges for assessment. Top Entries adjudged by the panel was then evaluated in the final round by Dr. Subbarao Gavaravarapu (Scientist “E” & Head, Nutrition Information, Communication & Health Education (NICHE) Division, National Institute of Nutrition, ICMR). 3 Prizes were announced.
