The precious gift of immunity through breastfeeding – A special reference to COVID-19

Dr. Parag gave a talk on the importance of breastmilk and how it is a gift of immunity with reference to Covid-19. He highlighted the components of human milk and its immunological properties, and the proven and potential role of breastmilk components that may protect against Covid-19. He went on to talk about the types of immunity and how mother’s milk is not sterile. With the help of recent research findings he explained how several components of breastmilk exhibit protective role against covid-19 through various pathways.

This webinar was conducted in association with Dr. B. M. N. College of Home Science (Autonomous), Mumbai to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week.
