Lifelong health – Exclusive breastfeeding and nutrition during first 1000 days

Dr. Dalal focused on the importance of health and nutrition during the first 1000 days of a new-born’s life and midterm and long term health goal of both mother and the child. She highlighted the role of nutrition in first 1000 days and its lifelong effect on the child’s life like stunting, poor growth, compromised IQ, metabolic syndrome, etc. She also emphasized on the importance of breastmilk for the child. She explained the composition of gut microbiota and how it builds immunity for the child.
