Various programs were undertaken to celebrate National Nutrition Month 2019

1. Date: 23rd September 2019. Conducted community programme at Kandivali ICDS center on 23rd September 2019. Dissemination of nutrition education on prevention of Anemia, Hygiene & Sanitation. Recipe demonstration was done. The program was attended by 200 Asha workers, 150-200 school children & 250 college students.

2. Date: 25th September 2019. In collaboration with Dr.BMN College of Home Science a one-day seminar was conducted on “Nutrition- The Community and Research Perspectives” on 25th September 2019. The following topics were covered:
• Role of Nutritionist in the community
• Feeding and Swallowing issues in children with special health care needs
• Drafting and validating research questionnaire
• Issues and concerns in the data collection procedures adopted for epidemiological surveys
• Understanding diet nutrient intake using weighted FFQ

3. Date: 20th September 2019. Community program was conducted at Kurla ICDS center in collaboration with Smt. Maniben Nanavati Women’s College on 20th September 2019. Around 60 ICDS Beneficiaries were made aware of hygiene and sanitation & importance of colostrum and breast feeding till 6 months.
